Register of deferred transfers
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga,
Section 22 of the Public Records Act allows public authorities to defer transferring records to the national archives for various reasons. Every deferred transfer must be noted in the register of deferred transfers, which under s19(2) must be available for public inspection.
As a casual web search has failed to turn up an online copy, I'd like to request a copy of the register of deferred transfers under the OIA.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
