Weekly climate change briefings: November - December 2017
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to James Shaw
The request was partially successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear James Shaw,
On January 17 you released via FYI two of your weekly climate change briefings from officials. They were hugely informative about what's happening in a critical policy area, so I'd like to request some more - specifically all weekly updates to the Minister of Climate Change received during November and December 2017, excluding those already released (Nov 6 and 13).
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris

Kia ora Mr Harris
In accordance with section 15A of the OIA, on behalf of the Minister for
Climate Change, I am extending the deadline for response to your OIA
request:
On January 17 you released via FYI two of your weekly climate change
briefings from officials. They were hugely informative about what's
happening in a critical policy area, so I'd like to request some more -
specifically all weekly updates to the Minister of Climate Change received
during November and December 2017, excluding those already released (Nov 6
and 13).
This is because consultations necessary to make a decision on the request
are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.
The extension will be for 5 working days. We will endeavour to provide you
with the information sooner if we possibly can.
Under section 28(3) of the OIA, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the deadline for response.
Ngā mihi
Georgina
