Gurantees the University of Otago has made in regard to CCTV footage

I request under the Official Information Act 1982 all assurances made by the University that the footage obtained by CCTV cameras controlled by the University will not be used for infringements of the Code of Conduct.

Dear Ms Enright,

The University of Otago has stated that CCTV footage will not be used for addressing non-criminal student behaviour under the University's Code of Student Conduct. This is referred to in the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Security Systems Policy which can be found at https://www.otago.ac.nz/administration/p... and in the "CCTV on and around campus" brochure that has been distributed to all residences within the areas CCTV is operating as well as throughout the University. A copy of the brochure is attached.
