The request was successful.
From: Simon & Cora Moore
To the Tasman District Council,
Official information request: Surplus Council Land
Please supply the following information under the Official Information Act (OIA).
We request a list of any vacant land currently under ownership of Tasman District Council which is unused and/or no longer required for council use. Please indicate whether such land is open to negotiation of sale for any person/s on the open market (i.e is not required by the following groups - Local Iwi, Department of Conservation, or the Crown).
We also request that information be given on whether any services (i.e water, power) are currently connected to the land and/or the suitability of connecting such services to the land.
If you need any more information from us please let us know as soon as possible.
I understand that a decision on a request for information under the OIA should be made within 20 working days of receiving that request.
If you do not normally deal with official information requests, or you need advice on dealing with this request, guidance is available from the Ombudsman at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
Yours faithfully,
S & C Moore.

Tasman District Council
Thank you for your request for information received on 13 April 2018.
You will appreciate the Council has a wide and complex portfolio of land
holdings and we do not maintain a single list of vacant land currently
under our ownership that is unused and/or no longer required.
To assist with your request, may we suggest this is refined to capture the
following information:
. land that is currently or soon to be open to negotiation for sale in the
open market; and
. the preferred area/s of the District; and
. the type of zoning, eg. residential or commercial; and
. define the minimum and maximum area of land
Please note s.13(8)(b) LGOIMA applies to our request for clarification.
Are you happy with the above suggestion?
I look forward to hearing from you.
