Conflict of Interest IAF fund
Stefan Brown made this Official Information request to Upper Hutt City Council
The request was successful.
From: Stefan Brown
Dear Upper Hutt City Council,
I am seeking information regarding a possible conflict of interest. The current Mayor is listed on the UHCC register of interest web page as of the 8th of July 2021 as the President of the Wellington Racing Club. He also chaired the meeting in August 2021 which chose to apply for the IAF for the proposed racecourse development which by admission in the recent media articles will financially benefit the Wellington Racing Club . As this part of the meeting was public excluded are you able to advise if the Mayor abstained from voting on this matter? And if he did not on what grounds was his voting on this matter not in contradiction of council policy on such matters.
Yours faithfully,
Stefan Brown
