Decision on your official information request

 

I refer to your official information request dated 16/06/2024 for any
traffic modelling undertaken by Upper Hutt City Council since 2021.

 

We need to decline your request for information related to any talk with
Lower Hutt City Council in relation to the use of Reynolds Bach Drive for
the Southern Growth Area including any proposed industrial development
under section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) as the information does not exist.

 

In regards to your request for all information on any traffic modelling
since 2021, including any emails from or to staff in relation to any
traffic modelling matter and to and from the consultants, we need to
decline this request under section 17(f) of the LGOIMA on the grounds that
the information cannot be made available without substantial collation. We
have conducted a search for emails relating to traffic modelling within
the time period of 1/01/2021 – 17/06/2024 and this has returned 1,519
emails to review. An initial sample review has indicated a lot of these
items to be in scope (i.e. the search results appear valid).

 

Reduction in scope

 

If you would like to make a further request with a narrower scope, please
let us know – perhaps if there was a particular area you were interested
in, or if you wanted copies of just the reports?

information on concept plans/roading layout concepts for:

o new Silverstream Road Bridge over the Hutt river
o Fergusson Drive and Eastern Hutt Road intersection
o Fergusson Drive and Field Street intersection

 

While the current LTP/Annual Plan includes the development of a business
case to support the need for works in these areas which will include the
development of high-level concept plans, work has not begun in this area
yet. We therefore need to decline your request under section 17(e) of the

information does not exist.
