I am requesting information on the report by Boffa Miskell Ltd titled:
Silverstream Spur Ecological Values Assessment.

I would like copies of all internal communications and or emails about
this report, the planning and preparation thereof, copies of any briefing
notes, or scope outlines both internal and what was supplied to the
company or persons who undertook the compilation of this report, any
communications and or emails to or from the company or persons who
undertook the compilation of the report and any other items that maybe
relevant. I would also like to know how the decision was made to utilise
the same company for this report whom was also working for the group
seeking ownership of the spur from the council at the time. in Addition
were there communications with any other similar company to Boffa Miskell
Ltd about this report in terms of quotations or scope etc.

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your official information request
received on 27 February 2024 for information regarding the background to
the Boffa Miskell report, Silverstream Spur Ecological Values Assessment.

LGOIMA 1636 – ECOLOGICAL REPORT BACKGROUND

 

I refer to your official information request dated 27 February 2024
regarding background information on the Silverstream Spur Ecological
Values Assessment Report prepared by Boffa Miskell dated 7 April 2015.

 

We have completed a search of Council records and emails and have been
able to locate the information listed below (in this dropbox link) in
relation to your request.

We have decided to refuse your request for that part of the information we
have redacted in the attached emails pursuant to s7(2)(a) Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the Act).

 

In relation to your request for a statement as to how the decision was
made to utilise Boffa Miskell to prepare this report we have decided to
decline your request under section 22(1) of the Act as the decision is not
made about the requestor personally.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman.
