Dear Palmerston North City Council,

Can you please provide me a list of ALL possible fines your parking
Enforcement officers can issue such as Parking in a paid meter space under
one hour, unregistered vehicle etc. Along with supplying all the fines can
you also supply the fee amount / fee range for each infraction. For
example Parking in a paid parking space under 1 hour = $15 fine. I would
like this data displayed in an .exl file.

I would also like the amount of revenue gathered for each fine for the
year of 2022 and the amount of infractions issued. For example

Parking in a paid parking spot under one hour 1,484 tickets issued,
revenue gathered: $12,731

I would also like this information displayed in a seperate EXL file.

I can confirm I am a New Zealand citizen and reside within Manawatu.

We refer to your official information request dated 24 March 2023 for a
list of parking infringements, the prescribed fee associated with each
infringement and the number of infringements issued for each type in 2022.

 

Our response

We have attached two excel documents for you containing the information
you have requested:

 

o Infringement type and fee – lists all infringements that may be
enforced under the LTA and other traffic regulations by Council and
the infringement fee.
o 2022 Infringements issued – sets out all infringements issued in 2022
by Council. We note however, that this does not equate to total fees
collected by Council for parking infringements in 2022 as some
infringements may be waived or withdrawn as part of our review
processes.
