Please could you provide information about the total number of staff (perm
and contractors, FTE or otherwise) over each of the last 3 years.

 

Kiwi Group Capital Limited (KGCL) was incorporated on 22 November 2022 and
we can therefore only partially answer your request as no information for
KGCL exists prior to that date.

 

As a holding company, KGCL does not have any employees of its own but
receives shared services support and resources from Kiwibank Limited.
There is one dedicated Investment Director (1 permanent FTE) who works
solely on KGCL matters.

Thank you for your follow up request asking for the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
The number of staff/employees/FTE for all of the subsidiary entities of Kiwi Group Capital Ltd, in particular for Kiwibank, and for each year as far back as can be easily obtained.

Kiwi Group Capital Limited (KGCL) is subject to the Act as a Public Finance Act 1989, Schedule 4A company but the former shareholder Kiwi Group Holdings Limited and KGCL’s current subsidiaries (Kiwibank and NZHL) are not. KGCL can only release information it holds since its establishment in November 2022 and has not yet received any reporting on this specific information. We’re therefore unable to answer your request because the information is not held (in accordance with section 18(g) of the OIA).

However, please note that the information you seek has previously been made publicly available through the annual Finance and Expenditure Select Committee review process on an aggregated basis. The most up-to-date information available can be found in the "Full evidence text" document on the Committee website page: https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submi.... This report was made by the former shareholder (KGHL) in March 2023 and includes information on the previous five years.
