Thank you for contacting Netsafe.
Your complaint reference is 60254, you will need to quote this if you wish
to discuss your complaint with us.
We always act with respect and discretion when you discuss things with us,
but sometimes, we might need to tell someone else. This could happen, for
example, if we think you or another could be seriously harmed. Breaking a
person’s confidentiality is not something we do unless we absolutely have
to. And we always think about this carefully before we do it.

Hi Tane,
Thank you for your questions.
In response to your question regarding our policy please see this link on
our website
[1]https://www.netsafe.org.nz/privacy-policy/
Ensuring a safe and neutral space for parties to enter into a discussion
and agree a resolution as part pf the mediation process under the HDCA is
important to Netsafe. With regard to the confidentiality of the process
this is the commitment that we make to parties entering into the mediation
process:
"We always act with respect and discretion when you discuss things with
us. But sometimes, we might need to tell someone else. This could happen,
for example, if we think you or another could be seriously harmed.
Breaking a person’s confidentiality is not something we do unless we
absolutely have to. And we always think about this carefully before we do
it."
I am afraid I am not in a position to advise more specifically of the
risks you are taking should you write about the process and any details of
the case and would suggest that you take legal advice on that matter.
I hope that this helps.
Kind regards,
Lee
