Request for access to information held by Netsafe
Thank you for your correspondence of October 3, 2021, where you requested
the following information:
1. A list of social media handles or usernames used during the Tauiwi
Tautoko project, as active during the project’s course;
2. A description of what has happened since the (Tauiwi Tautoko) trial;
3. The names of any units or organisations that carry on the work of
Tauiwi Tautoko, including usernames or social media handles of the
participating accounts.
Netsafe has considered your request in accordance with the Official
Information Act 1982 and Netsafe’s Privacy and Information Statement.
Netsafe does not hold information in relation to points 2 and 3 above.
The request in relation to point 1, above, is in relation to information
that is personal to the account owners. Under sections 9(2)(a) of the
Official Information Act, Netsafe will withhold information to protect the
privacy of natural persons. As such, we are not releasing any information
we may hold in relation to this point.
You have the right under section 28(3) of the OIA to seek an investigation
and review by the Ombudsman of our decision as it relates to the Official
Information Act.
