The request was successful.
From: J.R Morrison
Dear Wellington Regional Council, I would like to know if any or all of the CCTV cameras around the Wellington region have had facial recognition software/technology tested or used through them at any time since they were installed.
Also is facial recognition software/technology being used at present through any of the CCTV cameras around the Wellington region and if not, are there plans to implement such technology into Wellingtons CCTV network?
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.
