From: Orson Glubb

Hi K Jack,

Thank you for your email of 26 September 2024 requesting, under the
Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information:

- Any drafts, summaries, and/or final copies of the initial report of the
Science System Advisory Group (SSAG) due to have been provided to the
government in June, and any communications regarding this initial report;

- All communications (email, text, phone, etc.) between your office and
the chair of the SSAG Sir Peter Gluckman;

- All materials held by your office related to the selection/invitation of
Sir Peter Gluckman as SSAG chair.

The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision
on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received
your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time
limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the
time of four weeks (20 working days) to make our decision, to 26 November
2024.

This extension is necessary because your request requires substantial
collation and the subsequent consultations necessary to make a decision on
your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made
within the original time limit.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.

Thanks, Orson
